Urdang, one of the top vocational colleges in the country, has created The Dang Theatre and Dance syllabus. This offers up to date, industry relevant and well rounded training in all areas of musical theatre and dance. The syllabus promotes awareness of the qualities required for musical theatre and the performance skills to become a triple threat performer. In these classes students will learn and develop skills in singing, dance and acting.
Musical Theatre is a theatrical art form that combines singing, spoken dialogue, acting and dance. The story and emotional content of a musical are communicated through the words, music and movement. Improvisation forms part of the class and pupils enjoy the freedom of allowing themselves to express their emotions and experiment with different story lines and plots.
What we do
We provide classes in Musical Theatre, Ballet, Modern Theatre, Tap & Jazz, creating triple threat performers.
Dance
BC Theatre Arts offers classes in Ballet, Modern Theatre, Tap and Jazz, following the syllabus of the ISTD.
Act
As children, we have an appetite for mimicry, for demanding attention and for pretending to be someone else.
